Maison Européene de la Photographie

First French institution entirely dedicated to photography

Founded in 1978 by Jean-Luc Monterosso, Henry Chapier, Marcel Landowski and Francis Balagna, the association "Paris Audiovisual" is at the origin of the Biennale du Mois de la photo, as well as the creation of a remarkable collection of photographs and one of the most important specialized libraries in Europe... In January 2018, the appointment of Simon Baker, to succeed as Director of the MEP, was unanimously validated by the Board of Directors. His project of opening up to the international, new practices, new emerging artists and new audiences is part of the House's legacy.

The Maison Européenne de la Photographie launches a consultation to revise its website in April 2020. The studio collaborates with the museum team on the artistic direction and webdesign of the new formula. Harmonisation of graphic identity between printed media and Digital has emerged to create a global experience. We have completely redesigned ergonomics and navigation, organizing content in order to have a more intuitive navigation.
