osuny

A free digital commons for accessible, eco-designed, qualitative, sovereign and secure sites

osuny is a free, eco-designed, accessible, sovereign and secure content management system, developed by the noesya cooperative. osuny of course offers the functionalities expected of a CMS. But above all it carries strong values, and even better: it respects its seven commitments: security, accessibility, sovereignty, sobriety, quality, freedom and community.

The CMS offers around thirty ready-to-use editorial blocks, composed by drag and drop without an imposed template, as well as features such as a centralized media library, multilingual management, a calendar, a portfolio and an extranet. It is GDPR compliant by default, integrates cookie-free analytics via Plausible, and was subject to a security audit conducted by Synacktiv in 2024.

Although initially designed for higher education and research, Osuny is aimed at all organizations requiring ethical commitments. To date, more than 200 sites have been created by 123 organizations.

In the field of culture, we find in particular La Criée contemporary art center, Campus art Méditerranée, the Beaux-Arts de Marseille, Gaîté Lyrique, the Conservatoire Pierre Barbizet de Marseille, the Films de la Pépinière, the Réseau 535 and Diapason. As for the institutional and territorial domain, we have Rennes Ville et Métropole which manages all of its thematic sites (culture and sports, health and environment, transport, economy and employment, administrative procedures, press area) via Osuny, the Public Communication association which brings together the communication directors of public institutions, the United Nations, the Bordeaux University Hospital, as well as the Pays Haut-Languedoc et Vignobles and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region.

The studio creates osuny's visual identity. It is deployed across multiple media as well as on the website. The typographic system uses deliberately accessible, readable and open source typographies. The Inclusive Sans (external link) by Olivia King and the Adelphe Germinal (external link), designed by Eugénie Bidaut at Bye Bye Binary.

The sensitive look at the nature of Violenn Simon's film photographs brings poetry in accordance with the values of osuny, a common of general interest.

The studio warmly thanks the entire noesya (external link) team and the osuny community for this exchange.
