Tæ'thir, which means "influence" in Arabic, is a three-year program (2023-2026) driven by one ambition: to open spaces conducive to the exchange of ideas and creation by encouraging the promotion of a culture of human rights in the Mediterranean through the artistic and digital practices of young people. The project is a continuation of a long-standing reflection on the evolution of new forms of mobilization and demands around human rights in the region. It is part of a context marked by an increasing narrowing of freedoms of expression and creation, and intends to contribute to responding to this through art, digital technology and the collective imagination.
Like seeds carried away by the hot wind, 16 creations brought together as part of the Tæ'thir project, draw a network of possibilities. Coming from Algeria, Egypt, France, Greece, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia, 16 artists and content creators accompany two days of meetings and discoveries, around a common desire: to question the complexity of politics and society through artistic language.
